From 2020 to 2022, Japan Prize Laureates were unable to attend the awards ceremony in Japan due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
As co-winner of the 2021 Japan Prize, Robert Weinberg, Ph.D. was presented with his certificate and medal at the official residence of Consul General Kotaro Suzuki in Boston.
