Kaden Magwood

Magwood is one of the most naturally talented bucket-getting guards in the national class. He's a tough shot-maker who is capable of getting his shot off whenever he wants and yet still posted incredibly efficient splits of 53/52/80, while scoring almost 23 points per game, during the recent 3SSB season.

He lacks great size, measuring at 6-feet even without shoes, and has a naturally leaner frame that is just starting to gradually fill-out, but compensates with very long arms and a better than 6-foot-5 wingspan. That length, plus a high release point above his head, is the basis for why he can get his pull-up and step-back off at any given time. He's just as potent a shooting threat from long range, a fluid handler, and crafty in the lane with floaters and wrong-foot finishes. He's not only a threat at all three levels, but also a spurt scorer who makes shots in bunches once he gets hot.

Magwood is competitive, aggressive, and extremely confident, almost to a fault at times. He can be guilty of dominating the ball and settling for contested shots. He's a capable passer when he wants to be, but wired to score on every catch and typically only interested in moving the ball when he doesn't have his own shot. He'll inevitably have to adapt to playing with less volume at the next level, so shot selection and decision making will continue to be key variables.

Defensively, he's active looking to make plays (1.7 steals per game) and shows glimpses of being able and willing to dig in and get stops, but has to be able to sustain that mentality.
