Hi! I am a Lecturer in Sociolinguistics and Co-Director of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in the school of PPLS at the University of Edinburgh. My principal research interest is understanding the social meaning of linguistic variation.
My research focuses on the interrelation of digital culture and language variation and change. Most of my research has examined the linguistic practices of young people and the LGBTQ+ community.
