Callie Hickson was the mother of Elena Hickson. She had bipolar disorder and had to be fed pills (ibuprofen and quetiapine) - she got scared often after seeing the news/reading things online which was why her house had no internet connection.[2]

- Ash tree dieback
- Bee colony collapse
- Anthrax
- Too many immigrants
- Not enough immigrants
- Getting eaten alive by bears (after a couple dying in the Canadian wilderness)
