At the supermarket, Jung Su-In is at work but spacing out after everything that has happened to her thus far. One of the customers ends up being Kim Chul-Min, who shows up there to check up on her. While he waits for Jung Su-in to meet him during her break, he goes over her case file, and recalls how Su-In’s clothes were all heavily stained with her own blood Moreover, that initially she was unconscious, but when questioned after she woke up, she said she was fine. When Su-In finally joins him, he tries discreetly to look for signs that she might be infected with a parasite, and pulls one of her hairs to find out for himself. Not long after, she hears a piercing ring in her ears and sees another parasite watching her.

Meanwhile, Seol Gang-Woo ends up near the Saejin Church watching from a forested area.

Later that night, Su-In is stopped by Seol Kyung-hee inside a black car, who tells her that someone they call the pastor wants to speak with her. She is then ordered to get in the vehicle and not cause a scene, as she doesn’t want unnecessary attention drawn to them while out in public, and with so many humans around.

Back at the Saejin Church, Seol Gang-Woo is eating while watching what is going on at the aforementioned church. He starts recording them as he continues to watch their movements. Eventually he sees Su-In arrive at the church as well.

Inside the church, the Pastor the rest of his congregation that they have been informed about a secret police organization that is hunting down parasites, and that they have at least one of their own kin being held prisoner. After the video ends, the pastor begins by mentioning how not that long ago, they came to Earth with one goal in mind. Which was to take over the human brains and eat the humans. He stresses that humans are stronger than parasites because unlike them, they can’t reproduce and need their bodies as hosts for their survival.

While the sermon is going on inside, Seol Gang-Woo goes closer to the church to investigate. He gets to one of the buildings nearby and using his phone as a flashlight, he comes across human remains being prepared for consumption. Amongst them, one of the bodies looks like that of his younger sister, which makes him tear up. In a fit of rage after seeing what they did to his sister, Seol Gang-Woo goes on the offensive and begins attacking the parasite inside the building, keeping all those bodies. He yells at it to die, and unbeknownst to him, the rest of the parasites can hear that they have an intruder. The pastor orders them all to use the talents they have honed to kill Gang-Woo immediately. As the other parasites are getting out of the church the pastor and Su-In make eye contact.

Seol Gang-Woo runs through the woods but trips over one of the branches, and falls down. He sees a black car show up, and stops as the gangsters from earlier try to take him with them. He yells at them to turn the car around because they will kill them. But they ignore him. Their leader goes up to one of the parasites with his knife to threaten him, but ends up being sliced and subsequently killed. The rest of the gangsters don’t know what to do but they choose to fight. Which proves pointless as they are all killed in quick succession.

However, in the chaos, Gang-Woo escapes and ends up running into Su-In. They manage to get to a nearby gas station on foot, where they meet Gang-Woo’s friend and the three of them now quickly get inside the car. As he is driving, he wonders how the gangsters found him, as if felt like someone tipped them off. In a split second, his friend pulls out a knife and tries to kill him. The two men fight, despite Gang- Woo driving, while Su-In tries to grab her cell phone to call the police. Su-In realizes that one of the parasites is following them and at the moment, Heidi comes out and fights the other parasite off to protect them all.

In the chaos, Gang-Woo crashes the car into a tree, and when he wakes up, he sees the car tipping one way and the other. As he looks down, he realizes that the car is hanging on the edge of a cliff. He eventually succeeds in waking up his friend, who reveals that it wasn’t the Yeongdeungpo guys, but Jong-do, their boss who told him to kill Gang-Woo as soon as he saw him. His friends continue by saying that his boss sold Gang-Woo out to reconcile with the rival gang. Before he dies, his friend tells him that he must stay alert.

As Heidi and the other parasite fight, he asks her if she is mixed too much with the human. Heidi doesn’t answer him, which makes the other parasite realize he must report her to the pastor as she is a threat to them all. He stops fighting and quickly flies away but before he can get too far, he is brought back to the ground by Heidi. Who tells her that if he uses complex abilities like flying, a parasite’s combat capability is reduced to practically zero. Before it dies, the parasite tells Heidi that she is evil. Shortly thereafter, Heidi falls unconscious, and Gang-Woo tries to break free from his friend’s post-mortem grip on his shirt.

Eventually, Su-In wakes up and realizes that Heidi killed the other parasite. He also hears Gang-Woo’s screams in the distance and decides to help. She yells at him to grab her hand, but initially he refuses as he doesn’t want her to die as well. The car then falls down the cliff, but Heidi comes out yet again and saves not only her human host but Gang-Woo as well. As she places them on the ground, Heidi says to herself that her cohabitant is useless to her survival.

Elsewhere, Captain Choi Joon-Kyung finally gets to Su-In’s case file and as she is reading through her file, she quickly deduces that Su-In is a parasite.
