For enemies found in the flash game, Phoenotopia, see Enemies (PHO).

In Phoenotopia: Awakening, there is a total of 47 regular enemies and 12 bosses. While most of the regular enemies can only be found in specific locations, there also exists more common ones such as the toads and spiders seen in areas across Castella. All of the enemy names are displayed in the end credits.

Note that critters, pooki and perro are also listed here simply because player can interact with them in the same way as with foes using tools.

Panselo Region[]

Bird

Birds
Birds are harmless creatures that fly away when Gail gets too close. They are often found in groups of 3 and can be defeated in one hit from any weapon. Birds drop Raw Bird, or Roast Bird if defeated with explosives or flames.





Lizard

Critters
Critters are various small creatures that flee from Gail when she gets too close. They can be defeated in one hit from any weapon and drop Mystery Meat, or Cooked Mystery Meat if defeated with explosives or flames.





Pooki

Pooki
Pooki are passive until attacked enough by Gail. Once angered, it will turn red and charge into Gail dealing serious damage.




Perro(PHOA)

Perro
Perro are passive until attacked enough by Gail. Once attacked, it will flee and fly into the sky, damaging Gail with its droppings if she chases them too much.




BoarCub

Boar Cub
Boar Cubs are animals found exclusively in Overworld Battles.
When they notice the players, they may charge towards them for a tackle. Alternatively, they may also leap into the air to slam into players, creating rubble that stuns players for a moment as they land.

Boar
Boars can be regarded as Boar Cubs that have reach adulthood, also found exclusively in Overworld Battles.
Their moveset remains largely the same besides capable of dealing more damage, and the rubble from its body slam attack now deals damage.




Scaber(PHOA)

Scaber
Scabers are mechanical beings that crawls very slowly across the floor or walls. If attacked, it will change direction after pausing for a few seconds. Its defenses are impenetrable against most forms of attack.

Gummy
Gummies are normally dormant and either lie flat on the ground or hang on the ceiling. When Gail approaches, they would either sit right up or drop from the ceiling, then chase after her after a few moments.




Toad(PHOA)

Toad
Toads are passive creatures until Gail enters line of sight or attacks them. They will leap towards Gail in either a high or low trajectory. They are more mobile when swimming in water.




RockToad

Rock Toad
Rock Toads behaves in the same pattern as Toads, with the key difference being their increased damage and defence, as well as dropping a different type of toad leg.




Bat(Enemy)

Bat
Bats are normally found hanging upside-down under cave ceilings until Gail approaches. They will fly towards Gail's last position in a straight line, even travelling through walls. If they hit water they will bounce off and continue in the opposite angle.




Slargummy[]

Placeholder

Slargummy is the first boss introduced in Anuri Temple and appears to be a much larger Gummy.
It can attack Gail by forming spikes all over its body, using part of its head as a giant whip, or shooting out 3 Gummies at her.
They are later found in other locations as mini-bosses.




Century Toad[]

CenturyToad

Century Toad is an optional boss residing behind the second large gate in Anuri Temple. It is a massive Toad with an impenetrable rock hide around its head.
When Gail drops onto the arena close to it, Century Toad will awake and begin the fight.
It attacks by leaping towards Gail and devouring Gail by sucking her in. It can also makes rocks, spiky fruits and Gummies fall from ceiling.




BullBee(PHOA)

Bee
Bees can only be seen in Sunflower Road, where they collect Nectear coming from the giant sunflowers.
Bull Bees fly around the area in various patterns, usually from one flower to the other. They will usually ignore Gale but will hurt her if touched.

A Bull Bee can be defeated in one hit of any weapon, but their numbers cannot be thinned as more Bees will always come back.

Defeating one will anger the Bull Bees around it, causing them to chase after Gale in short, straight movements. Not angering the Bees is therefore highly recommended.




Spider(PHOA)

Spider
Spiders can be found commonly in Sunflower Road and Moonlight Ravine.
Spiders usually hang from the branches or hide behind foliage, dropping down to catch the player by surprise. After a few moments, it will return from its initial position before striking again.
When hit, a Spider will drop down and swing on its web like a pendulum before returning to its initial position after a few seconds.




Atai Region[]

SandDrake

Sand Drake
Sand Drakes live in the desert and can be found in and near the Sand Drifts.

They emerge from the sand as Gail gets near them. They either roll towards Gail if she is close enough or spit a ball of lava if she is farther away.

After attacking or getting hit, they will quickly borrow underground and reemerge nearby if Gail gets near them again.




StealerBird

Stealer Bird
Tries to divebomb Gail. Damages and steals 5 RIN if it hits her. Flies away if its health is low.




ThistleWeed

Thistle Weed
Found outside in sandy areas, thistle weed is an obstacle that bounces along the ground, damaging Gail on contact.




DragonSnare

Dragon Snare
Will try to eat Gail if she gets too close to it. If Gail is eaten, she must attack it from the inside until it spits her out. Spits thorn grenades and summons vine whips if attacked.




AxeBandit

Axe Bandit
Members of the Ouroboros. Upon noticing Gail, he swings his axe and charges at her. Axe Bandits have relatively high health and only flinch from strong attacks.




Ninja Bandit
Members of the Ouroboros. Upon noticing Gail, she tries to keep her distance while throwing shurikens in horizontal straight lines, slashing in front of her if Gail gets too close.

Atri[]

Atri

An Ouroboros leader, serving as the area's miniboss. She hops around atop her spear, making it difficult to hit her. She also throws shuriken and slides across the room to attack Gail.


Great Drake[]

GreatDrake

The boss of the Ouroboros area. It rolls around the arena, snaps at Gail from the below the sand, and spits lava among other attacks. If it swallows a bomb, it gets stunned, letting Gail deal a lot of damage to it.




Daea Region[]

Krill

Knife Krill
Knife Krill are found in Moonlight Ravine. They fly above the water in swarms and deal damage on contact. Knife Krill are easily defeated and can be avoided by going in the water.




FireFish

Fire Fish
Underwater enemy that chases after Gail. Uses tail slaps and charge attacks if she's in the water; spits fireballs in quick succession if she's on land.




Scrapper

Flying Scrapper
Flies through the air and shoots laser bullets. Damaging it stops it from flying temporarily, causing it to fall toward the ground.




Wrecker[]

Wrecker

A powerful enemy. Serves as the boss in Thomas' lab, but can be found later in the game. Shoots lasers, fire's EMP grenades, throws Gail, and slams the ground with a large shockwave. Hitting the EMP grenade back at the Wrecker can stun it and greatly reduces its high defense.




SpearKnight

Spear Knight
Like Axe Bandits, they charge at Gail, swing their weapon at her, and only flinch from strong attacks. They are more durable and can throw their spear.




CrossbowKnight

Crossbow Knight
Like Ninja Bandits, they shoot at Gail and melee attack if she gets too close, but are much more difficult to deal with. They shoot 2 long-range bolts in 360 degree range.




MothMine

Moth Mine
Moth Mines are encountered starting from the Daea Dungeons up until the final boss. They activate and fly towards Gale when she gets close enough, exploding on contact. They can be knocked back by dealing damage to them, detonating after flying long enough or taking enough damage.




Kobold(PHOA)

Kobold Soldier
Kobold Soldiers stand still while fires laser bullets and throwing bouncing proximity bombs. It teleports to a new spot if attacked or if Gail is too close, though their teleportation devices can malfunction, causing them to run away in panic.




Katash[]

Katash

The Kobold leader. He shoots explosive blasts and laser bullets from his blaster in addition to calling in his spaceship for help. He can steal food items by slashing through Gail in the blink of an eye. Shooting Katash's explosive blasts can explode them in his face for damage.

Green Gummy
Similar to a normal Gummy, but deals more damage and spills acid on the ground when it drops from a ceiling or is killed.




MimiToad

Mimi Toad
Mimi Toads are mainly found in Subterra. They are similar to normal Toads but turn invisible and whip Gail with their tongues.




Green Slargummy[]

An acidic, more dangerous version of a Slargummy. Its spikes and whip attacks deal more damage, it shoots Green Gummies, and it splits into two smaller versions of itself once defeated.




SmartTurret

Smart Turret
Stationary enemy that fires laser bullets at regular intervals.




RailShooter

Rail Shooter
Rides along wall rails and shoots at Gail. Typically appears in small groups.




RailSawer

Rail Sawer
Same as the Rail Shooter, but doesn't shoot at Gail; instead, it has rotating razor blades that protect it from most of Gail's weapons.




Mother Computer[]

MotherComputer1

The boss of the Royal Archives. Has a large arsenal of attacks, including activating paralyzing pillars of electricity and summoning more enemies. Mother Computer has a shield that only takes 1 damage from each hit regardless of strength.


Scorched Lands[]

MoleMine

Mole Mine
Mole mines emerge from the ground or ceiling when Gail gets close enough. They explode on contact or after taking enough damage, scattering hot shrapnel into the air.



Zombot

Ghoul
Smacks Gail with its arms up close and spits acid when she gets out of reach. They sometimes chase after Gail and do not flinch from attacks. Ghouls are notably weak to explosions.




Wendigo

Wendigo
Very dangerous and agile enemy that attacks with its razor claws and sneaks up on Gail using cloaking tech. Although Wendigos are effectively indestructible, they are not invincible, as strong attacks can wear down its defenses and damage it.




BigTurret

Big Turret
Scans an area with a sweeping laser, locks onto Gail, and shoots rapid-fire bullets if it notices her.

Mul Caves[]

Jellyfly

Jellyfly
Jellyflys are harmless creatures. They emit a glowing light and float away when Gail gets near or tries to attack them. Can be defeated in one hit with any weapon and sometimes drop Jellyfly Tentacles.




Miniad

Miniad
The Miniad is a non-aggressive enemy and will only bite Gail if she gets right in front of it. It is the only enemy that drops the Iad Sap.




Thorniad

Thorniad
The Thorniad lunges at Gail and tries to bite her upon noticing her. Its spikes on its back also damages her on contact.




Aciad

Aciad
The Aciad is capable of shooting acid globs at Gail from afar with great precision.




Blastiad

Blastiad
The Blastiad carries volatile chemicals in its body and will self-destruct if it comes into contact with Gail or is attacked. If a Blastiad notices Gale, it'll curl up into a ball and try to roll into Gale before detonating.




Dartiad

Dartiad
The Dartiad is normally seen sleeping, but it will wake up and fly after Gail when it notices her. Once awakened, it will dart at Gail in an attempt to impale her with its spear-like proboscis.




Ariadne

Ariadne[]

The iad queen. She appears briefly during a cutscene . Afterwards, she can be fought as an optional boss in the Mul Caves.




MutantSnare

Mutant Snare
Identical to a Dragon Snare but does more damage and has higher health.

Forbidden Lands[]

Arboar

Arboar
Similar to an adult Boar, but can also attack with vine whips and seed bombs.




Troll

Troll
A large, tanky enemy that doesn't flinch from most attacks. If it notices Gail, it attacks by jumping through the air, smashing its club down in front of it, and throwing nets to ensnare her, often scattering rocks in the process.




Harpy(PHOA)

Harpy
After noticing Gail, it takes flight and starts attacking by shooting feathers, divebombing, and dropping objects on Gail. Due to its mobility and flight, it can be difficult to attack without using ranged weapons, and has a decent amount of health.


Megalith(PHOA)

Megalith
Megaliths fires powerful laser beams at Gale when she is within range, dealing heavy damage. They also target various other projectiles and certain enemies, allowing the player to run past a Megalith if it has too many objects to target at once. Can be disabled by playing the Spheralis.


PorcuBot

Porcubot
Slides back and forth within a straight line. Deals contact damage.




TurtleBot

Turtlebot
Slides back and forth within a straight line. Shoots at Gail when she is within range.




GuardianConstruct

Guardian Construct
Pursues Gail by running and flying. Has a range of weapons including grenade launchers, beam sabers, and laser beams while flying.




EvilEye

Evil Eye
Advanced version of Flying Scrappers that shoots solid laser beams instead of laser bullets.




Mother Computer II[]

MotherComputer2

Mother Computer II can be considered the final boss of the game. Its arsenal is even more expansive and dangerous than before, including high damage explosive bullets and an invincible rolling attack as well as many other differences. Mother Computer's eye is a weak point, but pops out only when shields are down.




Shadow Clones[]

Placeholder

Shadow Clones are another boss fight after Mother Computer II. They can use tools and techniques that Gail acquired throughout the game and can even heal by eating.


Katash (Second Encounter)[]

KatashX

The last fight of the game, Katash is deadlier than before, though defeating him is optional. Nearly all of his attacks are stronger in addition gaining new attacks. It is good to note he will no longer steal food but is still deals lots of damage.




Phalanx[]

Phalanx

The Phalanx is often considered as the toughest boss in the game. To fight it, Gail must have all Heart Rubies and Energy Gems. It has an incredibly wide range of attacks, most notably of which is shooting scorching hot, prismatic lasers in 4 directions. The Phalanx's damage and health is unrivaled by any other boss, and its flight above the ground makes it difficult to attack with the Bat. Good luck.
