Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer occurs in the colon or rectum, parts of the digestive system. Most colorectal cancers begin as noncancerous growths, known as polyps, on the inner lining of the colon or rectum. While many polyps do not become cancerous, certain types can develop into cancer over time. If detected early, colorectal cancer is highly treatable, highlighting the importance of regular screenings.
