Senior physicians have a wealth of knowledge gained by hours of patient care. Near the end of their career many are eyeing the door and there are not enough physicians graduating to cover their clinical load let alone replace their knowledge. Why is it necessary for them to adopt this new technology? Clearly it is not to improve patient care or their workflow. In that case, you are likely asking a highly qualified person to downgrade their expertise which seems (and is) absolutely nuts. Instead of forcing senior physicians into inefficient workflows, why not hire a scribe to complete that work and support the physician in continuing to practice at the top of their license? Physicians pushback for a reason. Listen to them.
