My recommendation would be a 3 step methodology:- Step 1). Land Safe - As you migrate from your existing obsolete infrastructure to modern infra on Cloud or hybrid set up, always move your applications/systems as-is from your old infra onto cloud. Step 2). Modernize the Core - Once you have landed safe onto the Cloud Infra, start modernizing the core applications one by one. Step 3). Accelerate to next Gen Technologies - Start leveraging pilot projects for your Generative AI or any new age technologies and start incorporating them at scale once you have completed Step no. 2 of having modern applications deployment in stable mode.

Nesse sentido, boas alavancas para se ultrapassar esse obstáculo são: 1) - Quais os riscos em se manter as coisas como estão, sob a ótica de indisponibilidades, performance, segurança, etc? 2) - Quais as oportunidades de eficiência estão sendo deixados de fora ao não se considerar infra mais moderna e cost effective (energia, suporte humano ou outras ferramentas agregadas)? 3) - Quais as possibilidades de evolução, transformação ou disrupção serão desperdiçadas pela falta de infra essencial para novas tecnologias digitais? Vale considerar que essas alavancas valem tanto para uma visão on-premises quanto cloud!

You need to have a good understanding of your business requirements before you select any new technology. I had a client that purchased a new ERP system simply because their existing on premise solution was reaching end of life. Then they embarked on an analysis of their current processes and possible future needs as well as determining whether they had the right skills in house. In the end they determined that they probably should have selected a different system. New technology is great and necessary but take the time to determine requirements before signing any software license agreement.
