When a client feels stuck, I focus on reigniting their motivation by revisiting their "why." We realign with their original goals, breaking them down into smaller, manageable steps that create quick wins. Celebrating progress, no matter how small, builds momentum. I also introduce new challenges or variations to their routine to keep things fresh and engaging. Accountability is key, so I stay closely connected, offering support and guidance. By fostering a mindset shift toward growth and progress, clients rediscover their passion and commitment, feeling more empowered to push through obstacles and achieve their goals.

When a client feels stuck, we first explore what they're thinking and feeling around the situation. Often, there are deeper or less obvious issues beneath the surface. Is the lack of motivation due to misalignment with their heart's desires, or are they facing an obstacle or limiting belief? Once we've identified the root cause, we decide whether it's best to navigate the current situation or pivot entirely. If it's an obstacle, we work on a plan to overcome it or to shift their mindset on a limiting belief. From there, smaller steps toward larger goals help build their confidence and test the waters. This approach helps clients reconnect with their purpose and take confident, intentional steps toward growth and fulfillment.

Client: ''I fell off the track, I feel stuck again.''
Coach: ''Hmm, what would you want to feel instead?''
C:Ahm, clear about my direction, motivation, clarity.
Co: Why is important for you to have motivation and clarity?
C: Then I can feel that energy of doing, feeling alive.
Co: Feeling alive. Where in your body do you feel the aliveness?
C: ''Hmm..here.'', client points to her heart. ''and also in my stomach.''
Co: Relax into that feeling, deeper, fully and completely alive. From that state, what advice can you give yourself, so that you can have clarity for what you want to do?
See, people can't think themselves out of a emotional state, but they can relax into a brain-state that is clear and they will then unstuck themselves.

Feeling stuck is often an intense, familiar focus on what doesn't work, on weaknesses, on problems.
As a coach, I would love to help people zoom out. And completely independently of their situation, define again what they want the future to be, in all rich detail.
I often use a day-in-the-life exercise for this, and transport my client into six months from now into the future and ask them what's different then, how they want this to be. This prevents incremental thinking, and for people to get anchored too much in what's currently not working.
Once the current problem situation is clear, and the vision is clear, it can be surprisingly easy to start addressing the gap in between.
