While driving, the seat comfort and adjustability is #1 priority. Rough roads and icey conditions add to driver stress and fatigue. Adequate storage (including waste bins) and vehicle controls accessability are also important features of a good heavy truck design. Ergonomically, the driver is sometimes challenged to try to manipulate control surface touch screens, buttons, knobs and switches while driving in a very shakey cab. Tactile touch screens and buttons located in close proximity to the driver helps him/her to control the truck system without total concentration and visual distractions.

To enhance the driver comfort we should think about parameters that are involving in the project such as ergonomy, space, length. I agree with they tree points of this article : 1. Ergonomic seating: Invest in adjustable, supportive seats that promote good posture and reduce fatigue. 2.
