Everyone needs to understand that technical skills can be learned, improved and upgraded but not your specialties.
I believe when HR posts a JD they look for experienced or skilled candidate and they get lots of candidates who are very skilled in different way.But when we conduct a F2F interview the candidate gets rejected because they aren't able to present themselves in another language, is't fair?
But my opinion says if you give them a chance & advise them to work on their communication which helps them to move ahead in their life so easily, how will they feel? They feel comfortable, open valued motivate them to work on it enhance their personality for higher success without making them feel that their knowledge is useless.

Priya

providing feedback to an employee with great skills but poor communication requires empathy, specificity, and support. By creating a safe and constructive feedback environment, focusing on behavior rather than personal attacks, offering suggestions for improvement, and acknowledging the employee's strengths, you can help them enhance their communication skills and succeed in their role. Effective feedback can ultimately lead to improved performance, stronger teamwork, and a more positive work environment for everyone involved.

To provide feedback effectively, focus on a strengths based approach. Start by acknowledging the employee's valuable skills and contributions, then gently highlight the communication gaps. For eg, say,"Your problem-solving skills are exceptional, and the way you approach challenges has significantly improved our processes. One area where I see room for growth is in how you share those brilliant solutions with the team. Improving your communication skills will not only help others better understand your ideas but also allow you to make an even bigger impact."
This example keeps the feedback constructive and solution-oriented while encouraging development in a positive manner.
