We all make mistakes. Don't ignore it, don't kill yourself with guilt, own it. Then talk to people impacted and understand what you've done. Be open and listen hard - you must own your mistakes from a position of empathy and openness. Defensiveness will only make it worse!

Addressing harm to a marginalised community requires a transparent, empathetic, and actionable response. First, itâs crucial to acknowledge the unintended harm openly and sincerely. This builds trust and shows commitment to resolving the issue. Engage directly with the community, creating spaces where they can voice their concerns and be part of the solution-making process. Next, collaborate on corrective actions, whether through social investment, support programs, or revising harmful practices. Ongoing dialogue is key, ensuring the company remains accountable and actively works to repair its impact. By prioritising the needs of the affected community, you can restore trust and foster a more inclusive approach moving forward.
