ð We were pleased to contribute to the National Audit Office's call for evidence on the UK border. The consultation discusses how effectively businesses have been able to trade across the border since the Brexit transition period, and what improvements can be made.  ð¢ IoD evidence shows organisations have found importing and exporting post-Brexit to be challenging. Businesses have faced rising costs, delays and friction relating to the administrative burden. Official minutes published of an annual UK-EU meeting on technical barriers to trade (#tbt): https://lnkd.in/g2WGdYW8 The Trade Specialised Committee is one of ten under the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement. The meeting was held in London in October, and highlights included: â Progress on establishing three new Working Groups on #automotive, #medicines and #organics. Rules of Procedure have been published, and I look forward to the Working Groups holding their first meetings. â Completing technical exchanges on organics equivalence, with more to follow on this soon, and â Detailed exchanges on a number of regulatory files related to #trade in the UK and EU.
