The 17th Audiovisual Arts Festival of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University ended with great success and large public attendance

The 17th Audiovisual Arts Festival, a central event of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts (AVARTS) of the Ionian University, ended on Sunday (02/06) with great success and large public attendance. For 10 days (May 23 – June 2, 2024) an original program of artistic, scientific and educational events provided the city of Corfu with new cultural experiences, gaining the attention of the academic and the local community.

1st International Digital Storytelling Festival (DST-Zakynthos 2024) - Co-organised by InArts [27 – 29/09/2024]

With that in mind, four Laboratories from three Greek Universities (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of the Aegean, and Ionian University) have collaborated to organise the biannual International Digital Storytelling Festival (DST-Zakynthos) in Zakynthos between the biannual International DST conferences.

Audiovisual Arts Studies

Audiovisual Arts Studies through the department's undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs, cultivate and promote Audiovisual expression by means of education and research in the field of applications of modern Audiovisual Technologies in the wider area of Art and Mass Communication.
