Groups Information

Old Fort Point

This beautiful loop trail is 3.7km, with 173m of elevation gain. It's considered a moderate hike, and it's a great place to go birding, so bring them binoculars!

Valley of the Five Lakes

This hiking trail is close to Jasper and is considered moderate. It is 4.8km and has 163m of elevation gain. It's a great hike to see wildflowers and be rewarded with a jump in the refreshing waters of the lakes. Even if the trail is rather busy, keep in mind that bears have often been spotted in the area.

Get there

Jasper SkyTram

The Jasper SkyTram is an aerial tramway that takes you near the summit of Whistlers Mountain, where stunning scenic views and an accessible, interpretive boardwalk await. Psst, you can get an exclusive discount with your HI Membership!

Pyramid Island

Pyramid island is definitely the best place in town to do stargazing. If you're lucky, you might even see some northern lights! Check out the Aurora Forecast app to choose the best moment to go stargazing.

Get there

Miette Hot Spring

Nestled high up in the mountains, about an hour driving from Jasper, lie these naturally occurring hot springs that have been transformed into easily accessible pools. It's even more magical when it snows!

Get there

Maligne Lake Cruise

Jasper's most emblematic landscape, Maligne Lake and its Spirit Island, is truly worth the hype. To get there, the easiest way is with the (rather pricey) boat cruise offered by Pursuit. If you're traveling on a budget but are an experienced paddler, you can also reach Spirit Island by renting a canoe and paddling the 20 kms

Sleepy Hollow Café

Sleepy Hollow Café is right in our lobby! We serve a variety of breakfast and lunch options at affordable prices. Fuel up before your day's adventures and grab something to go to eat on the go.

Work for Stay

Earn your stay, make some friends, and extend your adventure with our volunteering program.

Let's go hiking! We choose the sunniest day of the week for our weekly group hike from 11:30 am to 3 pm — check with Front Desk for this week's route and weekday.
