The Destroy is a vehicle in Saints Row 2.
Overview[]
The destroy has decent handling but no weapons. It falls under the category "Helicopters" and can only be summoned on a heli-pad.
Obtaining[]
The Destroy can be added to the garage by entering #728237 (#SAUCER) into the Cellphone. The unlock code was given to GameStop pre-order customers, along with the Gyro Daddy and the Peewee, and does not flag the save file as cheating on Xbox 360 or PC. On PS3, the save file is marked as cheating, but Autosave is not disabled.
As it is a cheat and not an unlockable, it takes up a space in the 64-vehicle garage.
Variants[]
There are 3 variants defined, but only the Red variant is spawned by the cheat.

Trivia[]
- The vehicle description on the Saints Row 2 website before release said the Destroy had missiles and a laser cannon.[1]
- If the Destroy is exited while it is still flying, Playa stands on the Destroy and it falls to the ground with them still on it, unless they jump off.
- If the Destroy is flown low, civilians run screaming in terror.
- It was offered as an incentive to register their game at THQ's website, where they got the name wrong.[2][3]
- During the Saints Row 2 DLC missions, the Destroy is programmed to fly around in the sky in a set path which is different for each mission.
- In Weekend at Tera's, the Destroy spawns when reaching the final body location.[4][5][6]
- In Burden of Proof, the Destroy spawns when defending the Flatbed, when passing Semi Broken.[7][8][9]
- In America's Next Top Scientist, the Destroy spawns when attacking the Helicopters.[10][11][12]
- In Traffic Control, the Destroy spawns when after reaching the roadblock.[13][14][15]
- In Corporate Meltdown, the Platinum Destroy spawns when defending the first pump.[16][17][18]

- In Saints Row: The Third, in Kinzie's Warehouse, there is a newspaper article with a picture of a Destroy that reads "UFO sighted in sky, Man taken into ship". Another article shows the promo image of Playa wearing an alien costume from Saints Row 2, riding a motorbike.[22]
- The name as well as design of the Destroy is similar to UFOs in Destroy All Humans!, also published by THQ.
- Although lacking headlights, the Destroy bears a striking resemblance to the vehicle used by Spaceman Spiff in the Calvin & Hobbes comic strip.
