A Complete Golf Experience for All Ages

Do you want to play golf at one of Central Sweden’s highest-ranked golf clubs? Then you should head to Karlstad Golf Club, previously named Golf Club of the Year and host to both national and international tournaments at elite level for several years. Although the golf club appeals to the golf elite, it is equally suitable for beginners. The facility includes 27 holes, a driving range, training areas, an indoor hall, and a short course – Solslingan with a total of nine holes. You will also find Golfstore’s golf shop and a restaurant with a large terrace and lunch service here.

A bit outside of Karlstad, Billeruds Golf Club in Grums is one of Värmland’s oldest golf courses dating back to 1964. Today, the golf club has been upgraded and features well-maintained courses with views of Lake Vänern from all 18 holes of the golf course. In addition to the view that makes the visit complete, the golf course is also built on cultural land, evidenced by beautiful oak trees and stone walls. There are also accommodations close to the golf course, choose between hotel, cabin, or why not a motorhome at one of the pitches in the area.

Combine Golf with Relaxation

If you are in Northern Värmland, you can visit Sunne’s Golf Club which offers 18 holes, located right next to Lake Fryken. After a full day of golf, you can continue to Hennickehammar Manor and stay overnight in one of the beautiful rooms or visit Selma spa for recovery in the hotel’s spa or restaurant.

In Filipstad, you can play golf at Saxå Golf Club by the beautiful Lake Saxen, located between Filipstad and Hällefors. From 13 of the course’s 18 holes, you can look out over Lake Saxen, and nearby you find both Saxå Bruk and Hennickehammars Manor with the opportunity to enjoy manor house surroundings and stay overnight to extend your golf experience.

Large Beautiful Greens in Western Värmland

Western Värmland offers a wide range of golf courses. Årjäng’s golf course is designed by Peter Nordwall and features varied and large greens. Here, you are greeted by a hilly course in a fantastic environment with a total of 18 holes right next to Lake Svensbysjön. The golf course also has amenities such as golf cart rental and the possibility to rent a cabin if you want to stay directly connected to the course. If you want to play on a more challenging course, you can head to Arvika Golf Club with 18 exciting holes, driving range, putting green or Noresunds Golf Club, a gem by Lake Hugn with a restaurant and overnight accommodations in the manor annex.
