Chariton Valley Scholarship

Chariton Valley annually awards scholarships to exceptional students for their first year of college or vocational school. We have awarded nearly $80,000 dollars in scholarships since its inception. Chariton Valley is committed to strengthening our rural communities, building lasting relationships and helping promising students pursue their dreams. Eligibility requirements and the online application can be found at https://www.frs.org/programs/youth-programs/scholarships. Please note it is a requirement that the students’ parents or guardians be a Chariton Valley phone, internet or cable customer.

Students who complete this application are eligible for the Chariton Valley’s local $500 scholarships, as well as several Foundation for Rural Service national scholarships ranging from $1500-$7000. Students who express interest to return to the rural community upon graduation are especially encouraged to apply. A complete eligibility requirements list can be found on the application.
