Pathways to university

University is for everyone, but we all take different paths to get there. Our programs will give you the experience, skills, and confidence to take the next step.

Every journey begins with a single step, and we’re here to guide you on yours.

If you're a Year 12 leaver who didn’t choose the ATAR pathways a parent looking to return to work, or someone seeking for a fresh start in a new career, you are not alone.

At the University of Tasmania, we offer a range of support programs and pathways, as well as short foundation programs. Whether you want to gain valuable skills for the workplace, explore further study, or simply reignite your passion for learning, our pathways courses are designed for you.  In a supportive environment that understands your unique journey, you’ll find the support and resources you need to turn your dreams into reality.

Better prepared to succeed

Dr. Matthew Fielding’s non-traditional journey from his hometown in Ulverstone to being a Teaching Fellow at the University of Tasmania now sees him inspiring and guiding students on their paths.
