Influencers can learn about their legal obligations, for example, when, where and how they should disclose their advertising activities on social media, how to avoid promoting fake products or benefiting from their own creativity and innovation, what professional due diligence they are expected to observe and what rights consumers have when they buy products or services directly from them. Exciting news! The EUIPO - European Union Intellectual Property Office - and the European Commission have joined forces to launch intellectual property training for influencers on the Influencer Legal Hub. This will help to raise influencers’ awareness and knowledge of IP law in the EU. It will ensure that influencers respect the IP of others avoiding unauthorised use of protected works and commercially benefiting from their own creations.
