Buccaneers' Jamel Dean: Appears past knee injury
Dean (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Dean was limited in Wednesday's practice, but he was able to participate without restriction in Thursday' session. Barring any setbacks, the 2019 third-round pick should be good to go for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Dean has registered 15 tackles (11 solo) and one pass defended over the first two games of the regular season.

Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Stays limited at practice
White (groin) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
White played through a groin injury this past Sunday in Detroit that has resulted in back-to-back capped sessions to kick off Week 3 prep. There's been no indication that he may be in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Broncos, and the Buccaneers could provide clarity on his situation as soon as the release of Friday's practice report. Through two contests this season, White has 32 touches to backup Bucky Irving's 18, though the former is averaging just a shade under 2.0 yards per carry.

Buccaneers' Vita Vea: DNP to open week
Vea (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Vea suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in Tampa Bay's Week 2 win over Detroit, and the 2018 first-round pick is considered day-to-day. His practice participation Thursday and Friday will provide a better indication of his availability for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Dean was added to the Bucs' injury report Wednesday, and he'll have two more chances of increasing his practice participation leading up to Sunday's game against the Broncos. The 2019 third-round pick tied a career high with 10 combined tackles in Tampa Bay's Week 2 win over Detroit.

Buccaneers' Antoine Winfield: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Winfield (foot) was listed as a DNP for Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Winfield sustained a foot injury in Week 1 against the Broncos. Winfield could be out three to four weeks, with two weeks considered a "best-case" scenario, per Laine. Winfield is unlikely to play Week 3 against the Broncos, but the 2020 second-round pick could return to practice in a limited capacity Thursday or Friday.

Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Limited at practice Wednesday
White (groin) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
White made a brief exit from this past Sunday's win at Detroit due to the groin injury, but he still handled a majority share of snaps (34 of 48) and touches (11) out of the Buccaneers backfield over backup Bucky Irving (17 and seven, respectively). On Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported that White's health concern wasn't considered to be major, and his ensuing activity level Wednesday indicates the Buccaneers are taking a cautious approach with their starting running back. White has two more chances to get back to full activity this week before the team potentially gives him a designation for Sunday's game versus the Broncos.

Buccaneers' Zyon McCollum: Six tackles, INT in Week 2 win
McCollum recorded six tackles (all solo) and four defensed passes, including an interception, in the Buccaneers' 20-16 win over the Lions on Sunday.
McCollum had played just 11 snaps in Week 1 before suffering a concussion, but then he was able to get back to full practices Thursday and Friday, and clear protocol. That thrust the third-year pro back into his starting right cornerback role, and he played on all 85 snaps while tying for the fifth-highest tackle total on the Bucs and consistently getting his hands on Jared Goff's passes. McCollum will look to snag his second pick of the season against the erratic Bo Nix when the Broncos come calling in Week 3.

Buccaneers' Tykee Smith: Standout tackle effort in win
Smith recorded eight tackles (six solo), including one for loss, in the Buccaneers' 20-16 win over the Lions in Week 2.
The rookie came into the contest nursing an illness, but Smith did a fine job in his slot cornerback role. The 2024 third-round pick has allowed a stingy 55.6 percent completion rate and modest 6.6 yards per attempt on the nine attempts he's faced as a primary defender thus far in his nascent NFL career.
